Throughout the week, shelters, rescue groups, and humane organizations across the state will be hosting other wonderful animal-related special events. Educators, students, businesses and caring citizens across Alabama will be joining in as well, planning activities to celebrate and help animals.
Events will include adoption fairs, low cost spay & neuter awareness events, shelter days, R.E.A.D. dog programs in libraries, fundraisers for Alabama orgs, activities for farm animals and therapy dogs visiting hospitals/living assisted homes.
Also to be included are a salute to our K9 military and police dogs, cat initiatives, special programs, blessings for the animals, and fun-filled festival days for families to come and enjoy food, music and the amazing animals!
Become Involved! Events are still being planned now, and we need animal lovers everywhere in Alabama to join in so they can participate!
